Radamel Falcao: A Genius Striker Finally Arrives at the World Cup

At the top of his game, before an injury cruelly felled him in 2014, Colombia's Radamel Falcao lit up La Liga, one in a crazy line of brilliant young Atletico Madrid strikers (think Fernando Torres (young Torres, pre-snakebitten Chelsea Torres!), Diego Forlan, Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa, and now Antoine Griezemann. An incredible run, and to my eye peak Falcao is every bit the player of the others. Fast, clinical in the box, truly excellent in the air despite his small stature, Falcao is capable of delivering the moment of sheer brilliance to turn a game on its head. After a desultory spell with Man United under the genius-turned-lost Louis Van Gaal), he's back to tearing it up with Monaco. At 32, this is his final chance, and I hope he gives us something to shout about, like this bicycle kick, which I'd stack up against any one I've ever seen. And no, Ibra's isn't better--not even close.
