Corentin Tolisso, a Frenchman who plays like a German

Tolisso reminds me of a German player; perhaps that's a bit because he plays for Bayern, but it's more in the utter calm and confidence with which he plays, nothing fancy, but exceptionally well-rounded player, like a more athletic Toni Kroos or a more dynamic Sami Khedira. He strikes me as exactly the midfield pairing that could go with Kante, but on that team he may not see the pitch. I think it will be pretty clear that over the next few years that he should have been; we'll see if Deschamps makes the move. There's something about this kid that just reeks of the calm and steady, just what the French team could use.
